To develop Indonesia comprising thousanda of islands is a challenge to communication that is not an easy one. To Answer this challenge and this opportunity, in 1983 PT Elektrindo Nusantara (Elektrindo) was establish with the mission of expanding the Indonesian ability in the telecommunication industry.

The first achievement of Elektrindo was to build an earth station and its supporting facilities pursuant to a licence from a foreign company. To date earth stations produced by Elektrindo have already been installed throughout Indonesia. This success has increased the trust of a growing circle of clients, including PT. Telkom, PT. Indosat, PT. Satelindo, PT. Angkasa Pura I, PT. Angkasa Pura II, the Directorate General of Air Communication, Training and Education Department og Ministry of Communications and PT. PLN (Perusahaan Listrik Negara or the State Owned Electricity Company).

Elektrindo has expanded rapidly, and has succeded in penetrating the global market and getting international recognition. The business lines of Elektrindo currently embrace : Integrated Technology Services, Engineering and Manufacturing.
